Taipei: The U.S. dollar fell against the Taiwan dollar Thursday, shedding NT$0.004 to close at NT$30.950. Turnover totaled US$1.151 billion during the trading session.

According to Focus Taiwan, the greenback opened at NT$30.940, and moved between NT$30.922 and NT$30.960 before the close.
