Taipei: The U.S. dollar experienced a significant increase against the Taiwan dollar on Tuesday, closing with a gain of NT$0.160 to reach NT$31.848.

According to Focus Taiwan, the trading session saw a total turnover of US$2.629 billion. The greenback began the day at its lowest point of NT$31.710 and reached a peak of NT$31.906 during the session.
