Taipei: The U.S. dollar experienced a significant drop against the Taiwan dollar on Thursday, losing NT$0.170 to finish at NT$29.820. This marked a notable change in the foreign exchange landscape within the Taipei forex market.

According to Focus Taiwan, the trading session for the U.S. dollar saw a total turnover of US$1.425 billion. The session began with the U.S. dollar at a high of NT$29.950. It then witnessed a decline to a low of NT$29.712 before making a slight recovery to its closing value.
