Witnesses said that the black four-door pickup truck was driving from the Udon Thani-Nong Khai bypass intersection heading into the city at high speed before veering onto the sidewalk and crashing into the first noodle shop, which was in the gap between an electric pole and the fence of the Udon Thani Cooperative Office. It then hit the owner of the noodle shop and his children who were helping sell things, sweeping away the noodle cart, the cup table, the ice bucket, and the customer service table that was attached to the wall in an entire row before crashing into a large tree on the sidewalk.
