Defense/Air Force Launches Probe Into Fighter Jet’s Misfiring of Flare

Taipei: Taiwan’s Air Force announced that it was investigating the accidental firing of a flare from one of its Indigenous Defense Fighter (IDF) jets the previous day.

According to Focus Taiwan, during a routine drill on Wednesday afternoon, the IDF, also known as the F-CK-1 Ching Kuo, accidentally discharged the flare. The Air Force issued a statement confirming the incident and noted that there were no injuries or damage resulting from the misfire. An investigation has been initiated to ascertain the cause of the accident.
