SEOUL, A court sentenced Kim Ye-won, a former co-leader of a minor political party, to a suspended prison term Wednesday on charges of possessing and habitually smoking marijuana. Kim of the Green Party Korea was charged with smoking marijuana multiple times between late 2021 and early last year, and keeping the illegal substance at her home. The Seoul Western District Court sentenced Kim to a 1 1/2-year prison term, suspended for three years, along with 80 hours of drug addiction treatment programs.
