Kaohsiung: Taiwanese award-winning scale model artist Fan Cheng-pin has taken his craft beyond the studio by volunteering to paint Taiwanese Army helicopters for public events.

According to Focus Taiwan, Fan’s most recent work featured an Army Black Hawk helicopter adorned with “new power” and “new army” slogans alongside hawk emblems. This artwork was showcased at the Kaohsiung International ACG Expo held at the Pier-2 Art Center in December 2025. The exhibition was part of a special manga-military event organized by the Ministry of National Defense.
