Fuerza Bruta to perform in Taipei during Lunar New Year

Fuerza Bruta, an Argentine postmodern theater group, will perform in Taiwan during the Lunar New Year holiday from Jan. 22-29, promoter KHAM Ticket said in a statement Friday.

The group’s show, also called Fuerza Bruta and a mainstay in New York since 2007, delivers a dynamic and immersive theater experience without seats or specific storylines that encourages the audience to engage with the performers, the promoter said.

Lauding the theater’s “360-degree performance,” KHAM Ticket said the group uses not only the floor as its stage but also the ceiling and the walls for both special effects and stunts.

While in Taiwan, Fuerza Bruta will invite local entertainers to participate in its performances, including singer Yuki Hsu (???) on Jan. 24, singer Koo Jun-yup on Jan. 25, actor George Hu (???) on Jan. 27, boy band Uranus members on Jan. 28 and talkshow host Brian Tseng (??) on Jan. 29.

To maintain the show’s high standards, Fuerza Bruta will hold 18 shows at Taipei Arena but will limit attendance to 1,200 people each time, an all-time low for the venue.
