Bangkok:PTT Public Company Limited is marking its 48th anniversary by celebrating the creativity of Thai artists through the PTT Art Competition. This year, the competition drew national attention, amassing 1,974 entries, including 1,539 visual arts works and 435 digital art pieces. These submissions were carefully evaluated by a panel of 15 esteemed artists from various disciplines.

According to Thai News Agency, the 2026 PTT Art Competition seeks to highlight the creative potential of Thai artists while providing them a platform for expression. This initiative aligns with PTT's long-standing commitment to supporting both the country's energy security and its societal development. The art competition, which began in 1986, has seen over 49,000 entries over the years, each themed to reflect the societal context of its time.

The 2026 competition, themed "Power of Life, Power of the Future" for visual arts and "Powering, Building the Future" for digital arts, offered a total of 48 awards valued at over 1,200,000 baht. Additionally, public engagement was encouraged through a Popular Vote on Facebook, which received over 6,000 votes. The event also supports the creative economy by exhibiting works for sale and developing them into souvenirs.

PTT's commitment extends beyond the competition to include the 'PTT Art Awards Exhibition 2026,' showcasing winning entries at the PTT ART GALLERY throughout October 2026, allowing the public to view and support the artists' efforts.
