Reporters reported that the Pha Muang Army Aviation Task Force has supported the Army pilots with a Bell 212 helicopter for medical personnel of the National Institute of Emergency Medicine (NIEM) to receive an emergency patient by air, a 54-year-old man with ischemic heart disease who needed urgent treatment from a hospital with higher capacity. The patient was transferred from Mae Ai Hospital, Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai Province to Nakhon Ping Hospital, Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province within a flight time of approximately 45 minutes. Although they are in the same province, due to the mountainous terrain, traveling by car would take a long time, making the transfer by aircraft faster, reducing the time of injury, severity of the disease, and mortality rate.
