Sarah Brightman celebrates early Christmas with fans in Taiwan

World famous crossover soprano and UNESCO Artist for Peace Sarah Brightman celebrated Christmas in advance with her fans in Taiwan with a musical feast at the Taipei Arena Saturday night.

“Ni hao, I’m Sarah Brightman. Thank you so much for coming tonight. Welcome to my Christmas Symphony Tour,” said the international diva in Chinese at the beginning of the concert, expressing her gratitude to the audience for their attendance.

Despite the low temperature brought by the cold snap, there were still around 10,000 fans gathered at the arena to enjoy “A Christmas Symphony” with Brightman.

In addition to “Ave Maria,” “One Day is Better,” and “Son of the Moon,” Brightman also performed some of her most famous pieces, such as “Nessun Dorma” in the opera “Turandot” and “The Phantom of the Opera.”

Brightman told her fans that she likes to go to concerts and listen to her favorite songs, so she is willing to sing classical tunes untiringly to her fans again and again.

The concert was Brightman’s first at the Taipei Arena in five years and her third during this visit to Taiwan, following the ones in Kaohsiung on Wednesday and in Taichung on Friday.

Her fourth and last concert on the Taiwan tour will be held at the Pingtung County Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
