Taipei: The Central Weather Administration (CWA) has forecast mostly sunny weather and daytime temperatures ranging from 25 to 30 degrees Celsius for Sunday as Taiwan approaches the end of its Lunar New Year holiday.
According to Focus Taiwan, the latest CWA forecast indicates that overnight temperatures on Saturday will decrease to between 11-16 degrees, marking a drop of more than 10 degrees from daytime highs. During the day on Sunday, temperatures are anticipated to reach 25-27 degrees in the northern and eastern regions, and 29-30 degrees in central and southern Taiwan.
While the majority of Taiwan will enjoy sunny weather, there is a possibility of isolated rain showers occurring in the east and on the Hengchun Peninsula during the day. Additionally, the coast of Keelung and Greater Taipei may experience showers overnight, as reported by the agency.
From Sunday night into Monday morning, temperatures will decrease to 15-16 degrees in northern and central Taiwan, and to 18-19 degrees in the east and the south. Looking ahead to the workweek, the CWA expects favorable weather conditions to persist through Tuesday evening. However, an incoming frontal system is predicted to bring rain and slightly cooler temperatures to the northern and eastern regions.
