Taipei: Taiwan shares closed up 162.14 points, or 0.58 percent, at 27,947.09 Wednesday on turnover of NT$560.51 billion (US$18.08 billion).
According to Focus Taiwan, the market’s performance was driven by gains across various sectors, contributing to the overall rise.
The increase in the index was supported by strong trading volumes, indicating active participation from investors. The NT$560.51 billion turnover reflects the robust engagement in the market, translating into a positive closing for the day.
