Taipei: The U.S. dollar rose against the Taiwan dollar on Wednesday, gaining NT$0.017 to close at NT$31.069. The trading session saw a turnover totaling US$1.12 billion.

According to Focus Taiwan, the greenback opened at NT$31.020 and fluctuated between NT$31.010 and NT$31.071 before the closing bell.
