Taipei: Taiwan shares ended up 471.26 points, or 1.57 percent, at 30,576.30 Tuesday on turnover of NT$733.55 billion (US$23.31 billion).

According to Focus Taiwan, the stock market in Taiwan saw a rise by the end of trading, with the index closing at 30,576.30 points. The turnover for the day was recorded at NT$733.55 billion, equivalent to US$23.31 billion.
