Taipei: The Taiwan Stock Exchange’s main index experienced an upward trend as it opened with an increase of 8.16 points, reaching 28,190.76 on Wednesday. The initial turnover was reported at NT$3.856 billion, equivalent to approximately US$120 million.

According to Focus Taiwan, the increase in the index reflects a positive start to the trading day, with investors showing confidence in the market. The turnover indicates a substantial volume of trading activity, contributing to the overall rise in the index.
