Taipei: The U.S. dollar rose against the Taiwan dollar on Tuesday, gaining NT$0.018 to close at NT$29.953.

According to Focus Taiwan, turnover totaled US$1.448 billion during the trading session. The greenback opened at NT$29.92 and moved between NT$29.82 and NT$29.953 before the close.
