Taipei: The U.S. dollar fell against the Taiwan dollar Thursday, shedding NT$0.030 to close at NT$29.922. Turnover totaled US$1.517 billion during the trading session.

According to Focus Taiwan, the greenback opened at NT$29.920 and fluctuated between NT$29.850 and NT$29.930 before the close.
