Ms. Kanwee Sitthijiphak, Director-General of the Meteorological Department, signed the Meteorological Department’s announcement regarding summer storms in Thailand due to the high pressure area or moderate cold air mass from China spreading to cover upper Thailand and the South China Sea. The Northeastern region includes the provinces of Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin and Ubon Ratchathani.
